New Central Distribution Hub
Citipost DSA opened a new dedicated 67,000 square feet site to run its Downstream Access operations.
The transitional move from the old premises enables the company to increase the volume of mail and packets delivered and provides a faster more efficient service. The new site, based at South Normanton, Derbyshire, is located in the centre of the UK to act as a central distribution hub and conveniently located to the M1 for ease of access and was fully operational from end January 2011. The site forms the ideal location for operating a swift and convenient downstream access mail and packet service with even more flexible and controlled services to key clients in the UK.
Rob Bradford, Managing Director, Citipost DSA, says: “We’re proud to announce the opening of our dedicated DSA hub. This site opening demonstrates the rapid and expansive growth of Citipost in the downstream access market. We pride ourselves on being a customer-focused company and our existing site had become too small. As no staff had to relocate, we’ve been able to keep all our existing employees. This is key to effectively and efficiently servicing customers. The move enables us to provide extended product ranges such as enhanced packet sortation solutions, as well as an improved quality service and support to our important client base within the UK.”
The total move took just 8 weeks with no disruption to services. The site operates 24 hours with over 100 staff based at the fully secure South Normanton site and fully supports Citipost DSA’s plans for future growth and expansion.
