Citipost has discovered that there has been fraudulent use of the Citipost name, branding and domain.
Watch Out for Scam Emails
Citipost is aware that Hi-Tech fraudsters are using bogus techniques to con money out of people by, for example, setting up copycat websites. These gangs target people by sending out winning confirmations to randomly generated email addresses.
Fraudsters copy and paste parts of an official website and logos in their own fake websites in their attempt to look legitimate. This is the latest attempt at “phishing” – where crooks set up phoney websites in a bid to con people for money.
It has come to our attention that Citipost brand name has been abused in relation to some email scams and other fraudulent or inappropriate online activities.
Some of these scam emails try to persuade the email recipient to submit personal information or to part with money as an up-front payment in order to release a prize, or as an upfront delivery charge using Citipost as the courier company. We have also been made aware of fake lotteries or prize draws which allege to relate to Citipost as the courier company.
If you are sent an email which states that you have won a lottery or anything similar with reference to Citipost - this is a scam. As a general rule, if you have not entered into a competition, you won't have won a prize, and so you should treat such emails with absolute caution.
If you receive an unsolicited email alleging to be from Citipost which you are not expecting, do not respond to it, please forward it immediately to so we can investigate further, then immediately delete it, and in no circumstances should you provide any personal details or pay any money over to the person who sent the email. All official information about business opportunities relating to Citipost is provided on our official website: .
