Alternative Mail and Parcels Investments Ltd (AMP) acquired the Citipost Group from Royal Mail on the 10th December 2004.

Citipost Group is a niche financial research distribution company, which AMP is confident will complement its existing business interests.

AMP is the market leader in B2B catalogue, directory and publications distribution in the UK. Coupled with their international division, AMP Worldwide, the company provides a solid existing framework into which Citipost will be incorporated.

AMP's capability to retain and develop the Citipost client base was a key factor in the decision to purchase.

AMP now has a global delivery network, with offices across the UK, Europe, Asia and North America.

The acquisition provides a great opportunity to expand the core service offering worldwide for the benefit of both AMP and Citipost clients.

Citipost will become part of a company which has the focus and resources to reinvest in its business, with the ability to guarantee continuity of service and maintain its market leading position.

AMP recently secured a long term postal licence from Postcomm, the postal industry regulator, which enables it to provide bulk mail, consolidated mail and tracked business-to-business mail services in the UK through its existing delivery network.
